New Undergraduate Students who are admitted for Fall 2024 AND registered for a SOAR program are eligible for online photo submission.
The photo you submit should resemble a passport style photo and must meet the university's photo requirements (smiles are permitted). For additional examples of acceptable and unacceptable ID images, visit the U.S. Department of State website.
Complete these 4 easy steps before 7/15/2024 to receive your Iowa One Card prior to move-in day:
- Review the university's ID photo requirements
- Your photo should look like a passport photo (smiling is allowed)
- Upload your photo using our convenient online card request application
- Select your preferred delivery method during the photo submission process
- Complete the identity verification steps (have your government issued photo ID nearby to complete the process)
- Watch your email for confirmation your photo has been approved or rejected
- In the event your photo is rejected, return to step #1 and submit a different photo
- Follow the instructions provided in the photo acceptance email for any required next steps to receive your Iowa One Card
Individuals who do not complete these requirements by the July 15, 2024 deadline must appear in person at the UI Service Center with a government issued photo ID to obtain an Iowa One Card. If you do not have a valid form of government issued photo ID we strongly encourage you to contact your state's governing agency to obtain the necessary state issued photo identification.
