E-Mail Campaign - You Need a New Card
Effective 11/12/2019 - Due to campus-wide technology upgrades to the university's electronic door access readers, we are in the process of issuing new Iowa One Cards to all individuals who currently have the old card format. This project will take place in phases over the next several months and individuals will receive an e-mail when it's their turn to request a technology upgrade.
Iowa One Cards issued prior to May 9, 2019 are targeted for replacement. If you received a new card after May 9th, you have the upgraded technology and are not subject to this replacement project.
Not sure if you have the old or new card? If your card has a gold magnetic stripe on the back (or one gold and one black), you have one of the old card formats. If your card only has a black magnetic stripe, you have the new technology card and do not have to obtain a new card.

Hand Geometry Reader PIN & New Cards
11/21/2019 - Do you use a hand geometry reader and enter a PIN number to access a secure space on campus? When you upgrade to the new Iowa One Card, you will have to learn a new PIN number. You can find this number by logging in to iam.uiowa.edu/cards. The number is highlighted in green and is referred to as your current card number.
Our Jessup Hall office has closed and we are now located in the newly expanded UI Service Center, 2700 University Capitol Centre (UCC, 2nd floor above CVS).
