University of Iowa students, faculty and staff are eligible to receive an Iowa One Card.  There is no charge for the first card.

All individuals must present a valid, approved form of government issued photo ID to receive their card.  We will not accept photocopies or a photo of an ID on a mobile device.  All forms of ID must be the original document.

Students

New Undergraduate Students who are admitted for Fall 2024 AND registered for a SOAR program are strongly encouraged to upload their photo to save time obtaining their Iowa One Card. Photos must meet the university's requirements and are subject to approval.

All other students can obtain an Iowa One Card in-person at either of our office locations.  Please bring a valid, approved form of government issued photo ID.

Faculty/Staff

New faculty and staff are eligible to receive an Iowa One Card when their appointment has completed routing in Workflow.  This may take at least one business day due to the timing of system updates and the effective date of the appointment.  If there are any questions regarding the eligibility of a new faculty/staff member, please contact one of our office locations.  Individuals with a complementary appointment are eligible for an Iowa One Card with Affiliate printed as the role identifier.
