New undergraduate students who are registered for virtual orientation in May-August 2021 are strongly encouraged to upload their photo for their Iowa One Card as part of the pre-orientation checklist.

- The student receives notification via e-mail that their photo has been accepted
- The student schedules & meets with our staff online for identity verification purposes

Instructions for scheduling a Zoom video conference will be provided via e-mail when the uploaded photo is accepted. This method for obtaining an Iowa One Card is available for a limited time only - opportunity ends 7/30/2021.
Students who do not upload a photo before 7/30/2021 or do not participate in a Zoom video conference with our staff are not eligible to receive their card by mail and must come to our office in the UI Service Center to obtain a card.
New faculty and staff are eligible to receive an Iowa One Card when their appointment has completed routing in Workflow. This may take at least one business day due to the timing of system updates and the effective date of the appointment. If there are any questions regarding the eligibility of a new faculty/staff member, please contact one of our office locations.
