The timing of payroll deductions is based on a number of factors:

  • Whether you are a Monthly or Biweekly paid employee
  • Whether the charges are Voluntary or Non-Voluntary
  • When the charges post to your account
  • When the Billing office sends the file of charges to payroll

Pay Frequency

Voluntary ChargesNon-Voluntary Charges
  • Deducted from the next paycheck
  • Charges that post to the account after the monthly file of 
    deductible charges is sent to Payroll, will be deducted from the following month's paycheck
  • These charges appear on the U-Bill
  • If charges are not paid by the U-Bill Due Date, they will be payroll deducted from the next paycheck
     

Voluntary ChargesNon-Voluntary Charges
  • Deducted from the next paycheck
  • Charges that post to the account after the biweekly
    file of deductible charges is sent to Payroll, will be deducted from the following paycheck
  • These charges appear on the U-Bill
  • If charges are not paid by the U-Bill Due Date, they will be payroll deducted from the next paycheck
